N2NA sends a photo of the SS UNITED STATES/KJEH radio room.

Paul Mac Carthy is standing next to where N2NA used to be stationed- it is his MILL (a MILL is a CW Telegrapher's typewriter - itwrites all caps with a slash zero.).  At the rear is BillWalker (SK) who is working the RCA ET-8063 SSB radio which wasused to make telephone calls (ship-to-shore).

My husband, N1EA, likes to read me "bedtime stories". Since I have a commercial radiotelegraph license, but never managed to sail (he did for many years), he reads mestories from books having to do with Morse Code at sea.

One book I particularly liked was a fictionbook loosly based on the author's experience on SableIsland, VCT (MCT was their earlier Marconi call letters because they beganwith "M") -- called "The Nymph and the Lamp"by Thomas Raddall a Canadian author who lived in the AnnapolisValley near Halifax, Nova Scotia. He typed up some of the mostinteresting parts dealing with Morse Code in this file.

Extractsfrom "The Nymph and the Lamp" by Thomas Raddall.

N3DRK,  John -- sends his QSLcard and a shack photo.
